Job description


Experienced, safety-focused Quarry Manager.
Full-time leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily mining operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing site personnel, and optimizing production while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily quarrying activities, including stripping, drilling, blasting, hauling, and crushing operations.

Ensure production targets are met while maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.

Monitor and manage raw material inventories to ensure consistent supply to plant operations.

Develop and execute Capex plan for maintenance and improvement
Supervise and develop a team of equipment operators, maintenance staff, and laborers.

Provide clear direction, training, and performance feedback to quarry personnel.
Enforce all MSHA, OSHA, and company safety regulations and policies.

Equipment & Site Maintenance:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of all quarry equipment, including crushers, loaders, haul trucks, and conveyors.

Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and troubleshoot mechanical issues in partnership with maintenance teams.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
Assist in budget development and cost control for quarry operations.
Monitor fuel, explosive, and equipment usage for efficiency and cost tracking.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field a plus

5+ years of quarry or mining operations experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong understanding of MSHA regulations and mining safety practices
  • Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment is a plus
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
