Position Overview
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to support a customer responsible for the rapid deployment and management of secure cloud-based engagement kits supporting cyber incident response and threat hunting operations.
This role focuses on designing, optimizing, and enhancing scalable cloud architectures that enable analysts to quickly deploy secure investigative environments during cyber incidents. The ideal candidate will have deep AWS expertise, strong cloud security knowledge, and experience building automated, resilient infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Design and architect secure, scalable cloud infrastructure supporting engagement kit deployments
โ€ข Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions and automation frameworks
โ€ข Customize cloud environments to meet mission, operational, and technical requirements
โ€ข Implement security controls including encryption, hardened configurations, and access management
โ€ข Support rapid deployment and reconfiguration of cloud-based environments
โ€ข Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
โ€ข Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend architecture improvements
โ€ข Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams
โ€ข Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and architecture issues

โ€ข 8+ years of relevant experience
โ€ข 5+ years of cloud architecture experience, preferably within AWS environments
โ€ข Strong expertise with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation
โ€ข Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
โ€ข Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
โ€ข Experience designing scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions
โ€ข Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
โ€ข Excellent technical communication and documentation skills
