Job Title: Senior Kony (Temenos Quantum) Developer
Location: Birmingham, AL
Employment Type: Contract (12+ Months)
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Lead the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-grade mobile applications using Kony Visualizer with Free Form Architecture.
โ€ข Develop and manage backend services using Kony MobileFabric, implementing service orchestration, authentication, and Pre/Post Processors.
โ€ข Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
โ€ข Integrate backend systems using Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and web services (SOAP/REST APIs).
โ€ข Perform testing, debugging, and deployment using Android Studio, Eclipse, and other mobile toolsets.
โ€ข Design optimized database schemas and queries leveraging Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise RDBMS.
โ€ข Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain quality standards.
โ€ข Partner with QA and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and secure deployments.
โ€ข Maintain legacy hybrid mobile functionality using Apache Cordova while modernizing mobile frameworks.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with banking industry regulations, security standards, and performance SLAs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
โ€ข 15+ years of overall software development experience, including 10+ years in mobile development.
โ€ข 9+ years hands-on experience in Kony/Temenos Quantum (Visualizer & MobileFabric).
โ€ข Strong programming expertise in Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, with API development and integration experience (SOAP/REST).
โ€ข Proficiency with Android development tools, debugging, and testing methodologies.
โ€ข Experience with enterprise databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
โ€ข Hands-on exposure to Apache Cordova for hybrid application development.
โ€ข Agile/Scrum experience with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
โ€ข Previous work experience in Banking or Financial Services.
