Job description

The Investment Analyst will be part of the Newmark Florida team who was most recently ranked the #1 Multifamily Brokerage Firm in the state. The Investment analyst will work closely with Brokers and Associates to provide financial analysis, underwriting, market research and assist in the creation of marketing collateral for the sale of multifamily investment properties and land throughout the state of Florida. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate required; Master's degree in real estate or MBA in Finance preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong quantitative, financials analysis and modeling skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize & prioritize work - effectiveness in managing multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work in and support a team environment
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Ability to respond to rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Essential Job Duties:

  • Assist in the underwriting and valuation of multifamily/commercial real estate using historical financial statements, pro formas and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Conduct various types of financial analysis including but not limited to: internal rate of return, present value, value-add, replacement cost, residual and rent roll analysis
  • Request and upload updated financial reports for listed properties
  • Track historical Income and Expense data for multifamily properties
  • Analyze property performance trends
  • Update and review multifamily development pipeline and sales data for all major markets
  • Perform market research and writing of market demographic, economic and area overviews for investment offerings and client presentations
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team in the preparation of marketing proposals and collateral
  • Assist brokers and clients with compiling due diligence information for properties under contract
  • Perform other ad hoc analysis and duties as needed
