Job description

As part of our continued success, we are seeking a Senior Environmental Remediation Consultant for our Baton Rouge, LA or Houston, TX office. This is a unique opportunity for a senior consultant to play a key role in shaping and growing our Gulf Coast remediation practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate established client relationships, technical and regulatory expertise, and project management/client management leadership. Technical and regulatory expertise should be in site investigation and remediation, with possible cross-over into permitting, environmental due diligence, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Business development and client management
  • Managing complex site investigation and/or remediation projects
  • Leading Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies, interim actions, and final remedies
  • Selection, design, and implementation of site remediation (including in situ and ex situ techniques and technologies)
  • Proposal preparation and cost estimating
  • Data evaluation and reporting
  • Relevant State and Federal environmental regulations
  • Cleanup of contaminated media including groundwater, surface water, soil, soil vapor, and sediments
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service, including high quality work, ethical standards, and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Management of staff to complete field efforts and deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in an environmental engineering related field, or natural sciences (e.g., geology, hydrogeology)
  • 10 to 20+ years’ experience in the environmental consulting industry performing/managing environmental site investigation and remediation
  • 5+ years of business development and client management experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Quantitative and data analysis expertise
  • Professional licensure as a PE, PG/LG, LHG, or similar
