About the role
Fanatics Markets is Fanatics' prediction market platform, letting users trade contracts across sports, finance, economics, culture, and crypto. We're building out our trading desk to provide liquidity, manage risk, and ensure tight, fair markets across our contract slate. We're looking for a Senior Trader with hands-on market making experience to help scale this function as we expand into new states and asset classes.

What you'll do

  • Make markets and manage risk across sports and financial prediction contracts
  • Design and develop pricing models to generate real-time fair values for event-driven outcomes
  • Partner with product and engineering to productionize models for live trading
  • Monitor, validate, and iterate on production models, continuously improving predictive accuracy and trading outcomes while ensuring robustness and operational stability of pricing models
  • Identify and execute market-take opportunities arising from model insights and prediction-market dynamics
  • Design & implement trading strategies to maximise volume and revenue while scaling automated decision-making
  • Partner with product, quant, engineering, and compliance teams to launch new markets and contract types

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical or quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics).
  • 2+ years of professional trading or modeling experience in fast moving competitive environments such as  market making, options/derivatives, prop trading, or sports betting trading
  • Experience integrating data and models into production
  • Strong grasp of trading concepts, with the ability to think critically about uncertainty and model assumptions
  • Python proficiency, including strong experience with data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation.
  • Passion for and strong understanding of sports and event-driven markets
  • Flexibility with working hours to align with global sporting schedules.
