We're seeking a Maintenance Intern who's ready to be part of a people-first company offering best-in-class products, exceptional training, and deep industry pride-all built to help our partners and team succeed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Intern to join our team for
the summer. In this role, you will work closely with our maintenance team to expand and
improve our Preventive Maintenance (PM) program. Specifically, using OEM manuals and other
electronically available OEM and industry data, write PMs to ensure maximum equipment
reliability and safety. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in industrial
maintenance, technical writing, and facility operations.  The schedule for this position is Monday

through Friday 7am-3pm and the pay rate is $22 per hour.


WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • PM Development: Collaborate directly with the Maintenance Reliability Manager,
    maintenance technicians and OEMs to write, review, and implement new Preventive
    Maintenance (PM) procedures for plant equipment.
  • Scale Maintenance Operations: Play a vital role in auditing the current library of PMs
    and help build out a comprehensive, facility-wide system, including identifying
    Predictive Maintenance activities.
  • Technical Documentation: Create, standardize, and format clear technical documents
    that support daily maintenance operations and troubleshooting.
  • System Management: Utilize the plant's CMMS (Computerized Maintenance
    Management System) software to build out new work orders, input PMs, and organize
    maintenance data.
  • AI: Use Gemini to assist and accelerate progress.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education:

  • High School Diploma Reguired
  • Must be currently enrolled in a vocational program

Required Work Experience:

  • Technical Literacy: Proven ability to read, interpret, and understand complex technical
    manuals, schematics, and equipment specifications.
  • Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude: Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical
    systems to accurately document maintenance steps and tool requirements.
  • Writing & Documentation: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to
    translate technical concepts into clear, actionable, and user-friendly procedures.
  • Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Gemini for document
    creation; proficiency or strong familiarity with CMMS software.
  • Safety First: Working knowledge of Manufacturing Safety Standards (e.g.,
    Lockout/Tagout, OSHA guidelines) to ensure all written PMs prioritize worker safety.
  • Team Player: Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a readiness to work on
    the floor alongside seasoned technicians and plant leadership.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
