ADDiTEC is a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing technology company specializing in metal additive manufacturing systems and solutions for commercial, industrial, aerospace, defense, and government customers.
ADDiTEC operates facilities in Palm City, Florida, and Durham, North Carolina. As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a hands-on IT & Systems Specialist to support our employees, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity requirements, business systems, and adoption of new digital and AI technologies across both locations.
Position Summary

The IT & Systems Specialist will be responsible for supporting and improving ADDiTEC's day-to-day IT environment while helping build the technology infrastructure required for a growing advanced manufacturing and defense-focused company.
This is an in-person position based at our Palm City, Florida facility, with approximately 30% travel to our Durham, North Carolina facility to support employees, infrastructure, systems, and technology projects.
This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional who is technically strong, highly motivated to learn, and interested in working across a broad range of technologies.
The position will support traditional IT activities such as computers, networks, Microsoft 365, user administration, cybersecurity, backups, and software while also supporting CMMC readiness, ISO 9001 systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365/ERP, cloud applications, automation, and AI tool integration.
Key Responsibilities

·       IT Support & Administration

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for employees across ADDiTEC's Palm City and Durham facilities.
  • Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, workstations, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage employee IT onboarding and offboarding.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, software licenses, and security policies.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, email, and application issues.
  • Maintain IT equipment and software inventories across both locations.
  • Coordinate with IT vendors and technology service providers.
·       Microsoft & Cloud Infrastructure

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365.
  • Support Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related Microsoft applications.
  • Manage user access, permissions, MFA, and endpoint policies.
  • Support cloud storage, backups, file sharing, and collaboration systems.
  • Assist with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure as company requirements grow.
·       Network & IT Infrastructure

  • Support LAN, Wi-Fi, firewall, VPN, and internet infrastructure at both facilities.
  • Maintain reliable and secure connectivity between company locations.
  • Support servers, storage, backup, and network equipment.
  • Monitor system health and resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Maintain documentation of ADDiTEC's IT architecture, systems, accounts, and assets.
·       Cybersecurity & CMMC

o   Support ADDiTEC's cybersecurity program and CMMC readiness and certification activities.
o   Assist with implementation and maintenance of security controls applicable to government and defense programs.
o   Support NIST SP 800-171 and related cybersecurity requirements.
o   Maintain IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, documentation, and compliance evidence.
o   Support access control, MFA, endpoint security, encryption, patching, vulnerability management, backups, and security monitoring.
o   Coordinate with external cybersecurity consultants and assessors as required.
o   Help maintain an IT environment appropriate for ADDiTEC's government and defense business.
·       ERP & Business Systems

  • Support implementation and administration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related business systems.
  • Help integrate ERP systems with Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Production, Sales, and other business functions.
  • Support data migration, user configuration, workflows, reporting, and system administration.
  • Troubleshoot ERP and business application issues.
  • Identify opportunities to replace manual processes with integrated digital workflows.
·       AI, Automation & New Technology

  • Evaluate and implement new AI and automation tools across ADDiTEC.
  • Support responsible adoption of Microsoft Copilot and other enterprise AI platforms.
  • Develop AI-enabled workflows supporting Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales, HR, and administrative activities.
  • Support integration of AI and automation tools with existing company systems.
  • Help establish policies for secure and responsible use of AI, particularly involving confidential, customer, and government information.
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies that can improve productivity and reduce manual work.
·       Quality Systems & ISO Support

  • Support IT systems and documentation related to ISO 9001 and ADDiTEC's Quality Management System.
  • Help maintain controlled electronic documentation and appropriate user access.
  • Support electronic record management and audit preparation.
  • Partner with Quality and Operations to improve digital workflows supporting quality processes.
·       IT Policies & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain hardware, software, user access, and license documentation.
  • Document network architecture and critical systems.
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Support internal, customer, cybersecurity, and quality audits.
Qualifications

·       Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications and practical experience may substitute for formal education.
·       Experience

  • Approximately 2–5 years of IT, systems administration, cybersecurity, or technical support experience.
  • Experience supporting users in a professional business environment.
  • Microsoft 365 administration experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defense, or technology environments is a plus.
