What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee and ensure compliance with quality procedures across First Article Inspections (FAIs), In-Process Inspections, Final Inspections, MIRs, and internal/external audits
  • Lead root cause analysis and Corrective Action Reports (CARs), ensuring timely resolution and integration of improvements into Manufacturing Process Plans (MPPs) and MIRs
  • Develop and implement inspection training programs to grow team skill sets, improve cross-functionality, and support career progression within the QA team
  • Approve and validate vendor certifications, inspection processes, and incoming materials (including raw materials, hardware, and outsourced parts)
  • Lead quality audits and initiatives to support continuous improvement and compliance with customer and regulatory standards
  • Serve as a technical authority on product “form, fit, and function,” resolving cross-functional and customer issues related to product integrity
  • Drive improvement in inspection, testing, and sampling methods to increase accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness across quality operations.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Must have solid Aerospace Quality, CMM, Inspection, and Leadership Experience
  • Ensure compliance and effectiveness of all quality inspection processes, including FAIs, MIRs, and internal/external audits
  • Lead root cause analysis and drive timely corrective actions (CARs), integrating solutions into manufacturing plans and processes
  • Develop and lead quality training programs
  • Oversee approval of vendor certifications and incoming material inspections
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems, inspection methods, and process controls
  • Act as the primary authority on product quality, form, fit, and function, resolving complex cross-departmental and customer concerns
  • Lead quality strategy and compliance efforts
