Job description

QUALITY AUDITOR 
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Quality Auditor for a company based in Alabaster, AL. This role offers the opportunity to ensure high manufacturing quality standards, support continuous improvement, and make a meaningful impact in a teamdriven environment.
 
Pay Rate 
$17.45 per hour 

Schedule and Hours – 
Monday through Sunday, 11 00am to 7 00pm.
Monday through Sunday, 12 00 pm to 8 00 pm. Could work either shift – must be available 

Quality Auditor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work in a safe and ethical manner.
  • Perform Product, Process and NCR Audits using customer standards.
  • Perform gauging and testing activities and document the results.
  • Assist with 5S activities in areas assigned to the quality assurance department.
  • Help chair 5Why or 5P activities in plant.
  • Verify the conformity and completion of startup documentation.
  • Identify non-conformance in product or processes and issue SCW to control non-conformity and contain non-conforming product.
  • Communicate to staff during the audit/review with the outlook of ensuring compliance to guidelines and measures in all stages of the audit progression.
  • Pull production samples and inspect to ensure compliance. 
  • Assist in other areas as needed. 
Quality Auditor Qualifications and Requirements
  • Ability to transition between Quality Auditor support, Production Lead support, and Production Associate duties based on operational needs.
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment where assignments may change daily or within a shift.
  • Must be able to work a split shift, covering the end of 1st shift and the beginning of 2nd shift.
  • Ability to learn and follow procedures across multiple functional areas, including quality inspection, production processes, and team coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow quality standards, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
  • Comfortable supporting audits, checks, and documentation in accordance with company procedures (within assigned authority level).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with Production Leads, Quality, and operations teams.
  • Positive attitude toward change and supporting the operation where the need is greatest.
  • Comfort with not doing the same task every day and contributing as a utility player for the team.
