This position plays a critical role in maintaining a zero-defect environment by executing in-process inspections, enforcing quality gates, and supporting process auditing. • Develop deep product and process expertise within a highly regulated environment
  • Grow into advanced quality functions including process auditing, control validation, and systemic problem solving
  • Contribute to a zero-defect culture where precision and accountability are essential

Key Responsibilities

In-Process Inspection & Quality Control

  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final verification inspections
  • Ensure inspection integrity through consistent methods, proper handling, and objective evidence
  • Verify inspection equipment readiness and suitability prior to use
  • Capture and record inspection data to support defect tracking and trend analysis

Nonconformance Management

  • Identify nonconformances and initiate containment actions
  • Escalate quality issues in accordance with established procedures
  • Partner with production teams to clarify requirements and reduce repeat defects

Process Auditing & Compliance

  • Conduct routine process audits to confirm adherence to defined standards and operating limits
  • Evaluate production operations against approved procedures and specifications
  • Examine key process inputs including equipment, materials, environment, methods, and measurement systems
  • Verify effectiveness of process controls and operator training
  • Document audit findings using objective, traceable evidence
  • Ensure corrective actions are assigned, tracked, and verified for effectiveness
  • Support layered process audits and identification of systemic issues

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in manufacturing inspection, quality assurance, or similar technical role
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Working knowledge of ISO-based quality systems
  • Proficiency with common inspection tools and measurement equipment
  • Understanding of measurement systems, uncertainty, and inspection bias
  • Familiarity with basic data analysis, trending, and SPC concepts
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping discipline
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced production environment

Core Competencies & Attributes

  • Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Eager to learn and develop within quality and process auditing disciplines
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and consistency
  • Analytical thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively with operators and cross-functional teams
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities with guidance
  • Strong follow-through on tasks, actions, and commitments
  • Comfortable working in a regulated, cleanroom manufacturing environment

Career Path & Development

This role provides a foundational pathway into advanced quality functions, including:

  • Process Auditor / Senior Quality Technician
  • Quality Engineer
  • Supplier Quality or Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) roles
  • Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence leadership

Work Environment

  • Cleanroom manufacturing setting requiring adherence to strict contamination control protocols
  • Frequent interaction with production operators, engineers, and quality leadership
  • Hands-on role with significant time spent on the production floor
