Position Overview:

The Construction Quality Manager leads project-level quality control and/or assurance efforts to ensure work is delivered in full compliance with contract requirements, company standards, and regulatory expectations. This role partners closely with project leadership, client owners, and subcontractors to proactively drive quality, reduce risk, and support safe, efficient project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and promote an Incident & Injury Free (IIF) culture across all project activities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans in alignment with contract requirements and company standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters with clients, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
  • Facilitate quality meetings and maintain accountability for quality performance across the project team
  • Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and work plans to ensure alignment with quality requirements
  • Perform inspections, audits, and surveillance of work in progress to verify compliance with specifications and standards
  • Oversee testing, documentation, and material tracking to ensure complete and accurate quality records
  • Supervise and implement corrective measures in cases of noncompliance
  • Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Engineers to integrate quality into planning and execution
  • Support subcontractor and supplier quality management, including onboarding, audits, and monitoring
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality processes, efficiency, and project outcomes
  • Promote best practices and lessons learned across projects
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready quality documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and testing logs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of QA/QC experience in heavy civil construction, with demonstrated leadership on complex projects
  • Experience with infrastructure projects (e.g., bridges, marine, ports, or similar) strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of QA/QC standards, inspection/testing processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to influence quality outcomes in the field
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction/project management systems

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel required to active construction sites
  • Periodic project-based relocation may be required depending on workload and staffing needs
