At SCP Health, what you do matters
As part of the SCP Health team, you have an opportunity to make a difference. At our core, we work to bring hospitals and healers together in the pursuit of clinical effectiveness. With a portfolio of over 8 million patients, 7500 providers, 30 states, and 400 healthcare facilities, SCP Health is a leader in clinical practice management spanning the entire continuum of care, including emergency medicine, hospital medicine, wellness, telemedicine, intensive care, and ambulatory care.
Why you will love working here:
- Strong track record of providing excellent work/life balance.
- Comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive culture of belonging and empowerment through our core values - collaboration, courage, agility, and respect.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Operations & Executive Support
  • Manage the operational rhythm of the department: meeting cadence, agenda development, pre-read distribution, action tracking, and follow-through
  • Prepare and maintain executive-level briefing materials, Board reporting packages, and QPI bundle summaries
  • Serve as thought partner and surrogate for the EVP in cross-functional forums, representing quality priorities with credibility and clarity
  • Maintain department-wide initiative inventory; surface interdependencies, risks, and resource constraints proactively
Program & Project Management
  • Lead or co-lead complex, cross-functional quality improvement initiatives from scoping through implementation and evaluation
  • Build and maintain project charters, work plans, RACI matrices, milestone trackers, and stakeholder communication plans
  • Coordinate across COE leadership, CMOs, COOs, Finance, IT, and external health plan partners to ensure alignment and accountability
  • Apply structured methodologies (Lean, PDSA, Six Sigma, Agile) appropriate to initiative type and organizational context
Performance Reporting & Data Storytelling
  • Develop and maintain the department's core reporting infrastructure: SACR, MOR, quality scorecards, value-based care dashboards, and ad hoc analytics
  • Translate raw data from multiple sources (HEDIS, Star Ratings, clinical registries, internal metrics) into compelling narratives for executive and Board audiences
  • Own presentation development for monthly/quarterly operational reviews, large initiatives, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Establish consistent reporting standards, visual templates, and data governance practices across the department
Technology, AI & Process Innovation
  • Serve as the department's primary translator between clinical quality priorities and technology/AI capabilities
  • Identify, pilot, and scale AI and automation tools that reduce manual administrative burden and improve data quality and reporting speed
  • Evaluate and recommend platforms, tools, and workflow solutions that enhance department efficiency
  • Build internal literacy around AI-assisted quality monitoring, documentation, and performance improvement tools
Performance Improvement & Change Management
  • Support SEPTEE framework implementation across service lines, including change management planning, training coordination, and adoption tracking
  • Facilitate process redesign efforts, using structured PI methodologies to identify root causes, redesign workflows, and monitor sustainability
  • Assist in development of value-based care performance improvement strategies in collaboration with health plan partners and clinical leadership
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Draft, review, and distribute internal and external communications on behalf of the EVP, including department announcements, partner correspondence, and regulatory submissions
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, Legal, and other departments to advance quality-adjacent initiatives requiring cross-functional input
  • Represent the department in key operational forums when the EVP is unavailable or requests surrogate participation

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MPH, or related), preferred.
  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification, preferred.
  • Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, preferred.
  • Clinical education, a plus.

WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare quality, operations, management consulting, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in chief-of-staff, operations liaison, performance improvement, clinical analytics, or senior project management capacity, preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed healthcare organization
  • Proven ability to develop Board- and executive-level reporting, presentations, and data narratives.
  • Prior experience with value-based care metrics, HEDIS, Star Ratings, or clinical quality and safety programs preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook); familiarity with AI and automation tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and data storytelling skills; ability to build compelling visualizations from disparate data sources.
  • High emotional intelligence; able to operate with diplomacy, discretion, and confidence at the executive level; courage to speak up.
  • Self-directed, adaptive, proactive, agile, and comfortable managing multiple high priority workstreams simultaneously.
  • Sound judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving situations; strong confidentiality orientation.
