Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions to customers in more than 70 countries. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their five market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Quality Management System, focusing on our Tifton facility. Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise in Quality Science methods, Quality systems, and planning tools to ensure the highest standards of quality across our products and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate, review, and implement policies, procedures, work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Demonstrate your analytical skills in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to address quality issues effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry technical standards, regulations, and news to proactively address quality challenges.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain to identify and mitigate key supplier failure trends, maintaining the highest level of quality from our suppliers.
  • Monitor quality metrics and develop strategies for measurement and accountability of internal and external suppliers and product components.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and Point of Contact for internal and external customers on key quality issues.
  • Conduct senior-level strategic customer out-briefs when required.
What We Are Looking For

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Level I: 1+ years of quality and/or manufacturing engineering experience in a fast-paced & high volume fabrication plant. 
  • Level II: 3+ years of quality and/or manufacturing engineering experience in a fast-paced & high volume fabrication plan.
  • Bachelor's degree is required in engineering, quality management, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Advanced understanding of statistical process controls and its implementation across different product lines.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI and/or Qlik.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated global responsibility.
  • Minimal travel is expected (5-10%)

Preferred Requirements:

  • ASQ or Industry Certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA, CQIA, Greenbelt, Blackbelt).
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning.
  • Quality Management System implementation experience.
  • Experience in external customer and end-user communications.
What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. This is a salaried exempt role. We are open to hiring at either a Level I or Level II for this position. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $62,000 - $97,500 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 10-11 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
