Location: Lubbock, Texas | Hybrid position combining office leadership with regular field and plant visits throughout the region.

Note: Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in ready-mix concrete, aggregates, or construction materials, along with 3+ years of technical leadership or quality management experience. Required ACI and NRMCA certifications (or the ability to obtain missing certifications quickly if otherwise highly qualified) and a valid driver's license are essential. Job Description

  • Lead all quality assurance and quality control programs across ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and related materials operations.
  • Serve as the company's primary technical expert on materials quality, testing, and specification compliance.
  • Oversee concrete mix design development, optimization, validation, and approvals.
  • Direct laboratory operations, quality systems, and accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with ASTM, ACI, TxDOT, and customer specifications.
  • Partner with operations, sales, and customers to provide technical guidance and problem resolution.
  • Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead regional quality control managers, laboratory managers, technicians, and quality personnel.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor quality metrics, audits, certifications, and overall program performance.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in ready-mix concrete, aggregates, or construction materials.
  • 3+ years of technical leadership or quality management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ASTM, ACI, TxDOT, laboratory operations, and quality management systems.
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I.
  • ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician.
  • ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level 1.
  • ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level 1.
  • NRMCA Concrete Technologist Level 3 or 4.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Construction Management, Geology, or related field preferred.
  • Professional Engineer license and advanced ACI/TxDOT certifications are preferred.
