Job Summary:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality management system, managing the inspection team, and maintaining document control to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This role is crucial in driving continuous improvement across all quality-related processes, ensuring that our products meet stringent aerospace and automotive standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System (QMS):

    • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s QMS in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949 standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and lead corrective action processes to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to the QMS.
    • Manage internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up.
  • Inspection Team Management:

    • Lead, train, and mentor the quality inspection team to ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications.
    • Oversee daily inspection activities, including first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final product inspections.
    • Develop and implement inspection plans, sampling methodologies, and control plans.
  • Document Control:

    • Ensure accurate and timely document control for all quality-related documents, including work instructions, quality procedures, and inspection records.
    • Manage the review, approval, distribution, and retrieval of documents to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
    • Maintain up-to-date records and ensure traceability of all quality documents.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurring quality issues.
  • Customer and Supplier Quality:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer and supplier quality issues.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and ensure incoming materials meet required standards.
    • Support customer audits and manage customer complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role within the aerospace or automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Proven experience managing quality inspection teams and quality management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
