Quality Lab Technician
Location: Bradenton, FL
Base Salary Rate: $59,071.00 - $69,495.00

About This Role
The Quality Lab Technician performs quality evaluation and component-level root cause analysis for customer returns, documenting and communicating the findings for continuous improvement and participates in the Alpha Testing program to monitor the life cycle performance of production assemblies. During these activities, the technician contributes to discussions for driving quality improvements based on root cause analysis and maintains the integrity of the data collected from product returns.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, organize, identify, and route material provided through the customer returns process
  • Perform data entry of material to be evaluated, ensuring adherence to data integrity requirements
  • Manage and utilize test equipment and panels for evaluating returned material
  • Successfully manage equipment time to reduce switchovers between different types of material
  • Perform visual inspection of electronic and mechanical components to identify defects
  • Replicate field reported issues to the extent that is possible
  • Communicate and work with engineering, tech support, applications, and others to investigate field reports
  • Perform component-level troubleshooting to determine disposition of the received material
  • Wire, program, and operate fire panel systems for life cycle testing.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or Equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience as a test/troubleshooting technician

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Electronics
  • Experience with component-level troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform rework to IPC-610 guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prepare and present technical reports

The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
