What are we looking for?
The Lab Support Technician reports to the Lab Manager and is responsible for assisting production staff with completion of assigned tasks.
Tasks are related to the performance of physical and color fastness testing on footwear products and may include specific assignments related to sample handling and preparation, inventory, filling and disposing of samples, assisting with looking for client samples and general housekeeping.
Shift/Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Central Time, Mon thru Fri
Salary & Benefits Information:
The base wage or salary range for this position is $17.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What You'll Do:
Listed examples are illustrative and representative of the tasks required of this position and are not intended to be complete or exclusive. Duties may include the following:
Receive samples at the laboratory delivered by carrier or customer at the laboratory or picked up from the stores.
Responsible for capturing as received photos, create inward record for the samples in the LIMS.
Should organize and save the information and documents pertaining to the incoming samples in the shared network drive/internal tracker.
Responsible for moving samples, packages within the laboratory.
Responsible for preparation of test specimens by either cutting, drilling, pressing, buffing or other hand tools.
Responsible for collection of tested and remanent samples from the laboratory and store them in warehouse.
Responsible for returning of samples which includes sample collections, packaging and shipping through carriers as required by the lab and the customers.
Responsible for disposal of samples after the storage period as per standard process.
Support in the general maintenance and verification schedule of lab equipment and facilities.
Responsible to maintain general cleanliness and upkeep of the laboratory.
To carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company's Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy in so doing

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent required.
Microsoft Office experience, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Must be a team player with a "can do" attitude
Possess a valid unrestricted driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle in the performance of the official duties of the position
Ability to lift/carry up to 49 pounds
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and hand tools
