Are you an experienced Lab Professional seeking a new opportunity in the Southern Arizona area? Look no further! A reputable healthcare facility is currently seeking a Lab Assistant Manager to join their team.


Job Description: Under the immediate supervision of the Laboratory Manager and in conjunction with the Laboratory Director, supervises and coordinates laboratory activities. This includes, but is not limited to, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, regulatory compliance, point-of-care testing, supporting laboratory staff with duties, and supporting laboratory manager responsibilities when the laboratory manager is unavailable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Supervises daily laboratory operations to ensure efficiency and timeliness in the provision of patient results reporting
  • Communicates daily with Laboratory Director and Medical Technologists
  • Performs all other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Graduate of Medical Laboratory Technologist program (BS) and ASCP Certified or eligible; or certified as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist by the Department of Health and Human Services; or
  • Associate Degree, four years of laboratory experience, and certified by an accrediting agency as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
  • Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of supervisory experience.
  • Duties include proficiency in all areas of the laboratory, including Blood Bank and Microbiology experience required.
