Job description

Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring a Expert Quality Inspector at our Saginaw, TX plant.

The Expert Quality Inspector position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who does not stray away from a challenge.

What you will do:

  • Performs inspection of tank or freight car assemblies, parts, or material the majority of the time to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements.
  • Performs a variety of standard testing processes on in-process or final products during manufacturing or inspection and records and analyzes results.
  • Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment.
  • May use automated and manual techniques including to perform non-destructive tests to identify errors or defects.
  • May be responsible for testing during production and finished products. Follows all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or CI initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • For new hires previous work experience and/or certifications may be considered for the corresponding job level position.

What you'll need:

  • Meets level 3 requirements.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs measurement/testing equipment and tools.
  • Expert knowledge and ability to teach application and use of quality sciences.
  • Must be certified VT Level II.
  • May be certified Level II in appropriate NDE methods.
  • Performs Final inspection at ALL corresponding hold points or processes.
