Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Inspector 3 to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah.

What you'll get to do:

  • The Inspector uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.

  • Uses various measuring devices as described in the Assembly Instruction.

  • Inspector will utilize released build documentation to make good part/bad part decisions.

  • Inspector will utilize drawings, part list, Assembly Instructions, Standard Shop Practices, dial indicators, micrometers, scales and other tools as defined by the work instruction.

  • Inspector will utilize SAP (Standards, Applications and Process) daily to interface with production hardware.

  • Inspector will review contracts and shipping paperwork for accuracy.

  • Inspector will work under a microscope.

The ideal candidate must be able to work under a microscope, read engineering drawings, part lists, lift up to 30 pounds, sit for long periods of time, stand for long periods of time, and knowledgeable with using Microsoft Office Suite.

Basic Qualifications for the Inspector 3:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing.

  • US Citizenship

  • Must able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • J-STD Training or experience.

  • IPC-A-610/620 Training or experience.

  • Torque Training or experience.

  • Experience working in an ESD (electrostatic discharge) environment.

  • PPE experience.

  • SAP experience.

  • Experience with decision making process.

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
