Job description

Come join our team as a QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR! The Quality Control Inspector will inspect and check products to ensure all flooring manufactured conforms to or exceeds quality standards.
We are looking for dependable team members! If you have injection molding experience - that is a plus!
Your Schedule
3rd Shift: Monday Through Friday 10 PM to 6:30 AM, $2.50 an hour shift differential
Pay: Starting from $21.50

Your Day to Day:
  • Participate in daily meetings with Supervisor for shift delivery. Perform tour for each machine with outgoing QC.
  • Measure and weigh the products at the established times for each shift, using written tools and protocols such as the QC Book.
  • Return to each machine samples of products that have already been measured and weighed and that are in good condition for use.
  • Perform a tour of each machine to ensure that each Operator is giving the product proper handling.
  • Test each product that has film.
  • Report to the Supervisor and maintenance area, the changes in size or some damage to the products.
  • Verify that the date stamp of the mold corresponds to the beginning of the month and sign the work order as a record.
  • Perform color measurements for the corresponding products.
  • Register in the system the rejects generated during the shift by each machine and each work order.
  • Measure each color change made and activate the corresponding protocol.
  • Verify that each machine contains folding instructions for products. (if applicable). Modifying them is necessary.
  • Apply Escalation protocols.
  • Report and send emails to report issues with the products, so they are addressed on time. Enables quarantine protocols if needed.
  • Register in Excel format, all the information related to the products during the shift.
  • Perform Quality Control incoming inspection of film
  • Report on time any situation or damage related to the equipment and work tools of the area.
  • Provide support in the training of new Quality Control inspectors.
  • Provide support during the break and lunch times of the Operators.
  • Leave samples for the next shift measurements.
  • Participates in Supervisor and Production Manager meetings.
  • Comply with the internal rules and processes of the company.
  • Support, if necessary, in the different internal or external audits.
  • Participate in the different safety talks and training programs.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months experience on production floor of manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with technical instruments such as measuring devices.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Good communication skills.
