Job description

Temporary 2nd Shift Quality Inspector
Location : Northvale, NJ
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Position Type: Temporary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join their team on the 2nd shift. This role is responsible for performing inspections, measurements, and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet established quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished materials
  • Conduct cosmetic inspections and first article measurements
  • Complete and maintain SPC (Statistical Process Control) documentation
  • Identify and report out-of-process conditions and stop production when necessary
  • Make product acceptance or rejection decisions based on control plans and inspection criteria
  • Calibrate measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers following written procedures
  • Utilize quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, microscopes, comparators, and gauges
  • Follow ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISO14001 procedures and safety requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Keep production reports and inspection records current and accurate
  • Support additional quality-related tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous quality inspection or testing experience required
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, microscopes, comparators, and other inspection tools
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures and technical specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
