Overview

Industry: Aerospace/Defense

Position: Supplier Quality Support

Location: Chanute, KS

Duration: On-going

Frequency: Avg 40 hrs per week (depending on workload)

Compensation: $24-$34hr

Job Details:

  • Provide oversight of the source inspection of major components to ensure that the customer engineering & regulatory documentation is consistent with manufacturing methods employed.
  • Coordinate activities associated with the inspection of major components and make sure the team is structured and organized to support the customer and the component delivery schedule.
  • Coordinate the team to ensure constant support and make plan for absences, vacations, shift rotation,etc.
  • Attend customer and supplier meetings.
  • Prepare, maintain KPIs and miscellenaous reports for the customer.
  • Act as the team representative in front of the customer and the supplier.

 Knowledge:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Quality in Aerospace.
  • Experience leading inspection activities, coordinating teams, mentoring personnel, or serving as a lead inspector in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. 
  • Knowledge of major aerospace component inspection.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100:2015 Rev D 9000 quality requirements will be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint and databases
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Working knowledge of Control Plans
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
