Job description

Position Overview

Masterack is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to ensure all vehicle upfits meet our quality, safety, and customer standards. In this role, you will perform in-process and final inspections of completed vehicles and components, verify compliance with engineering specifications and work instructions, and partner with production teams to maintain high-quality workmanship throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of vehicle upfits, including mechanical, electrical, and structural components.
  • Verify completed builds against work instructions, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and customer specifications.
  • Inspect products for fit, finish, functionality, workmanship, and overall quality standards.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, gauges, torque tools, and other inspection devices.
  • Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns, defects, or non-conforming materials to the appropriate teams.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure product traceability.
  • Enter inspection results and quality data into ERP systems, digital quality tools, or Excel.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions to improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and standard operating practices.
  • Participate in Lean, 5S, PPS, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience inspecting finished assemblies, fabricated products, or mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
