Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect raw materials, manufacturing processes, forgings, machined products, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications, engineering drawings, customer requirements, and quality standards.

The approved pay range allows consideration of both entry-level candidates with less than 2 years of experience and experienced Quality Inspectors.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, customer requirements, and work instructions.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections.
  • Perform Receiving, In-Process, Final, and First-Article inspections.
  • Inspect forgings and/or machined products for compliance with requirements.
  • Verify dimensions and identify defects or non-conforming products.
  • Document inspection activities on work orders.
  • Prepare inspection reports and customer-required documentation.
  • Report nonconforming products and create NCRs when applicable.
  • Identify and recommend corrections to processes or equipment to prevent recurring quality issues.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and appropriate records.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and Quality Management System requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Entry-level candidates with less than 2 years of experience may be considered.
  • Experience with dimensional and visual inspection.
  • Forging or machining experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials, specifications, and tolerances.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Daily exposure to a production/forging environment.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.
  • Must follow all safety requirements and wear required PPE.
