(3rd Shift) UT Level II Inspector

Overview

Element is seeking a motivated NDT Ultrasonic Inspector (Level I/II) - 3rd Shift to join our aerospace team. In this role, you'll apply your technical expertise to perform ultrasonic inspections using approved NAS 410 techniques and procedures, ensuring every component meets strict aerospace quality standards.

As part of our quality-driven team, you'll set up and operate UT equipment, interpret and evaluate inspection results, document findings, and maintain calibration and inspection records. This position offers the opportunity to grow your skills in both nondestructive testing and quality assurance, supporting Element's commitment to precision and safety in every part we test.

Salary: $25-$35/hr DOE

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Accurately record and verify inspection data, ensuring traceability and compliance with internal and customer quality requirements.
  • Apply strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify trends, deviations, and potential quality issues in inspection results.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to corrective and preventive action processes.
  • Maintain familiarity with the scope and limitations of the assigned NDT methods, providing guidance and on-the-job training to Level I technicians.
  • Maintain organized inspection areas, calibration tools, and records to ensure audit readiness.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures while handling equipment, tools, and customer components with care.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time or ahead of schedule.
Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in NDT or Quality disciplines preferred.
  • NAS 410 Level I or Level II certification (or equivalent) with documented evidence of qualification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, documentation control, and inspection traceability within aerospace or manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to record and interpret inspection data, document findings clearly, and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communicator capable of collaborating across teams and departments to resolve quality issues and maintain compliance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with quality management or data tracking systems is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and meet visual acuity requirements for inspection accuracy.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of the work.
