TRC Talent is looking for a Quality Inspector for our client in Piedmont, SC!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused Quality Inspector to support manufacturing operations within a fulfillment center environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or quality inspection and will be responsible for ensuring bottles, containers, and packaging components produced through extrusion blow molding meet company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of bottles, containers, and packaging materials to identify defects or inconsistencies
  • Use calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify product specifications
  • Accurately document inspection results, maintain quality records, and report nonconformances
  • Communicate inspection findings with machine operators, maintenance personnel, and supervisors to support timely resolution of quality issues
  • Assist with line audits, start-up approvals, and sampling requirements as directed by the quality team
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), internal quality standards, and customer requirements
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to reduce defects and enhance product consistency
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing preferred
  • Knowledge of plastics, packaging, or extrusion blow molding processes is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize product defects
  • Basic math skills and experience using measurement tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately and consistently
  • Physically able to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs. for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with ISO quality systems, GMP, or FDA-regulated manufacturing environments
  • Experience using quality inspection software or ERP systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
