Job description

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has an immediate opening for Quality Inspector in Decatur, IL.
This is a first shift position hours 6:55AM - 2:55PM Monday - Friday with potential for OT
Pay for this position is $19-20 per hour
Reports to
Site Supervisor/Site Leads
Quality Inspector Responsibilities
(To include but not limited to the following)
Client Relationship & Business Development
  • The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.
Operations
  • The Quality Inspector performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
  • Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies.
  • Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.
  • Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material.
  • Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job.
  • Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment.
Organization & Management
  • Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source.
Technical
  • MUST be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies.
  • Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.
