Job description

Job Description: Quality Inspector

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector with a strong experience in quality inspection and gage calibration. The ideal candidate will have the ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and perform quality inspections using various gages and inspection tools. A minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection or as a quality technician is required. This is for first shift.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret manufacturing and engineering drawings, and perform quality inspections using gages and inspection tools.
  • Update inspection reports and conduct inspections, including visual assessments and measurements.
  • Create and perform First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), as needed.
  • Participate in drafting PFMEAs and Control Plans, if applicable.
  • Handle incoming inspections, measure parts, and document non-conformities.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience in Quality Inspection or as a Quality Technician.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gages.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with quality documentation, including PPAPs and FAIRs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in electronics or circuit board manufacturing is highly desired.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical manufacturing is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
