Quality Engineer

We are looking for a detail-driven Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will develop and maintain quality systems, lead root cause investigations, and serve as a technical resource for quality across production and engineering. Your work directly supports our commitment to delivering products that meet the highest customer and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Quality Systems & Engineering

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans in accordance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations for internal nonconformances, customer complaints, and supplier quality issues.
  • Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product inspections to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, drive corrective actions, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
  • Support and participate in internal and external audits, including ISO certification, customer, and supplier audits.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain to review and approve engineering changes, deviations, and waivers.
  • Manage the disposition of nonconforming material (NCM), including tagging, segregation, rework, scrap, and supplier returns.
  • Maintain and improve the calibration program for measuring and test equipment (MTE) in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by reviewing design documentation, conducting process capability studies, and establishing acceptance criteria.
  • Assist in supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and development to ensure incoming material quality.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation including control plans, FMEAs, MSA reports, and process flow diagrams.
  • Train production and quality personnel on quality standards, procedures, and inspection methods.
  • Operate precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and optical comparators.
  • Act as a point of contact for quality-related customer communications and support customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Additional duties as business needs require.


Work Schedule

This is a full-time, onsite position. Core hours follow a standard manufacturing schedule, with occasional flexibility required during audits or critical production events.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or an equivalent quality management system.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and FMEA methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC), process capability analysis (Cpk), and data-driven decision making.
  • Proficiency with quality software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with valve, fluid control, or industrial manufacturing processes preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification preferred.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools and CMM operation preferred.
