ROLE SUMMARY

The Intersect Group is seeking an experienced Manager of Quality Engineering to lead quality strategy and execution across a diverse portfolio of web, mobile, API, and enterprise applications. This leadership role is responsible for driving quality standards, release readiness, automation maturity, and production stability while partnering closely with engineering and business teams.

The Manager of Quality Engineering will oversee quality engineering practices across multiple products and platforms, ensuring predictable software delivery and continuous improvement. This individual will play a critical role in shaping testing strategies, mentoring quality engineering teams, and implementing scalable processes that support long term organizational growth and technology excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

โ€ข Lead quality engineering efforts across web, mobile, API, and enterprise application platforms

โ€ข Own release planning, quality assessments, risk evaluations, and release readiness decisions

โ€ข Manage, mentor, and develop quality engineering teams, including offshore and third party resources

โ€ข Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies covering functional, integration, API, mobile, accessibility, security, and performance testing

โ€ข Drive automation initiatives and establish scalable testing frameworks that improve quality and efficiency

โ€ข Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality standards

โ€ข Establish quality governance, testing standards, performance metrics, and reporting processes across the organization

โ€ข Partner with Engineering, Product, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to improve production stability and release outcomes

KEY REQUIREMENTS

โ€ข 12+ years of experience in software quality engineering, quality assurance, or test automation leadership roles

โ€ข 5+ years of experience leading quality engineering teams across multiple products, applications, or business functions

โ€ข Proven experience supporting enterprise web, mobile, API, and platform based applications

โ€ข Hands on expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, WebDriverIO, RestAssured, or similar technologies

โ€ข Experience integrating automated testing practices within CI/CD environments using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or comparable platforms

โ€ข Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and modern software delivery methodologies

โ€ข Experience with API testing, mobile testing frameworks, cloud device platforms, and enterprise integration testing

โ€ข Demonstrated ability to establish quality metrics, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives

โ€ข Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and business leaders

โ€ข Proven leadership, problem solving, and team development capabilities within complex enterprise environments
