Job Summary:
Belcan is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician with strong GD&T and CMM interpretation experience to support aerospace quality operations by managing nonconformance and concession activities. This role is embedded onsite within customer operations, with potential for direct hire.
The ideal candidate can read and interpret CMM reports, compare measurement data to engineering drawings, identify discrepancies, and actively engage with engineering teams to resolve nonconformances. This individual should be comfortable taking ownership of discrepancy documentation and participating in technical discussions related to product compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Nonconformance Review & Processing
* Review CMM reports and inspection data against engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
* Identify, interpret, and document discrepancies with clear technical detail

Disposition & MRB Support
* Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to determine disposition (use-as-is, repair, rework, scrap)
* Participate in MRB and technical discussions to resolve nonconformances efficiently

Concession Management & Compliance
* Develop and process concessions with supporting technical justification
* Liaise with engineering teams to resolve deviations and ensure AS9100/QMS compliance

Tracking & Closure
* Maintain accurate NCR/concession records in ERP systems for full traceability
* Prioritize and drive timely closure of quality issues impacting production

Continuous Improvement
* Analyze defect trends and support corrective actions
* Contribute to improvements in inspection and quality processes
Required Qualifications:
* Experience in aerospace quality, manufacturing, or engineering environments
* Strong Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge (critical requirement)
* Proven ability to read and interpret CMM reports and compare results to engineering drawings
* Experience identifying and documenting nonconformances based on measurement data
* Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers regarding discrepancies and compliance
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills
* U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting MRB and concession processes in aerospace environments
* Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and regulated manufacturing environments
* Experience working directly with inspection data, metrology, or dimensional analysis
* Technical certifications or training related to quality, inspection, or manufacturing
