Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Quality Engineering Manager for our client based out of Fort Worth, TX.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
This will also have a first-shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of project quality control programs to ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
  • Review project documentation including drawings, specifications, contracts, requests for proposal (RFPs), and submittals for quality and compliance requirements.
  • Lead and support the execution of a Three-Phase Quality Control process, including preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections.
  • Develop project-specific installation checklists and quality verification tools for field personnel.
  • Perform detailed field inspections to verify installation quality, workmanship, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality performance metrics and inspection findings to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in daily safety and project meetings, ensuring quality concerns and corrective actions are addressed.
  • Manage quality punch lists, commissioning issues, and closeout activities through final resolution.
  • Serve as a liaison between project teams, contractors, owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality expectations are understood and achieved.
  • Support development, implementation, and administration of project quality plans and procedures.
  • Identify quality risks and work collaboratively with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Contribute to maintaining a culture focused on quality, safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of construction, engineering, commissioning, quality control, or project delivery experience within commercial, industrial, infrastructure, government, or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience reviewing construction documents, engineering drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC Three-Phase Quality Control processes.
  • Experience conducting field inspections, quality audits, and verification activities.
  • Ability to identify quality deficiencies and drive corrective actions to resolution.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, owners, and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in active construction or installation environments.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience supporting government, military, defense, federal, or mission-critical projects.
  • Journeyman Electrical License or completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Experience with commissioning, testing, and project turnover activities.
  • Knowledge of construction quality management systems and documentation controls.
  • Experience leading quality improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
