Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Spring 2027

Where will you work: Four Corners Facility at 11200 R 37 South. Bradley, FLand/or South Fort Meade Facility at 5880 Manley Road. Fort Meade, FL 33841. Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

A Mining Engineer Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will be assigned to projects focused on improving mining conditions and economics.Our student opportunities allow you to learn from professionals, offers competitive pay, an opportunity to work with a global leader on exciting projects and much more.

January 11th, 2027 to April 23th, 2027

Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hoursa week.

In person. 9/80 schedule if applicable.

What you'll do:

Day to day work assignments could include:

  • Assignments will involve learning all aspects of working at a site including Mine Planning, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, Mapping and more.

  • Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.

  • Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.

  • Adhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

What you'll need:

  • Junior level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Mining Engineering.

  • 2.75 GPA or higher

  • Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.

  • 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, orworkis preferred.

  • Previousinternship or co-op experience is preferred.

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.

  • Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship

  • Selected candidates willbe requiredto successfully completepost-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.

  • Basic computer skills are required

  • Experience working in a team environment is a must

  • Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable

  • Effective verbal communication skills is a plus

  • Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
