Summary
The Final QC Inspector is responsible for conducting the final verification and inspection of finished products to ensure they meet all company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications before shipping. This role involves maintaining strict quality control processes, analyzing defects, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing Environment.
Detailed Description

  • Perform final visual and electrical/mechanical inspections on finished goods, sub-assemblies, and packaged products.

  • Review defects found during the inspection process, initiate non-conformance reports in the Quality portal, and work with the production team and quality engineer(s) for correction and resolution.

  • Interpret test results and compare them against established specifications, cosmetic specs, and control limits.

  • Ensure products meet standard workmanship requirements, including proper packaging, labeling, cosmetics, and correct customer order counts.

  • Stop the production line and escalate severe quality incidents to the Quality Manager or Quality Engineer as necessary.

  • Accurately document inspection findings, test data, and non-conformances in quality logs or digital tracking systems.

  • Ensure proper document control and record practices.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Understanding of specific product quality requirements, particularly industry standards like IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620, as well as general workmanship and cosmetic specifications.

  • Strong knowledge of general manufacturing processes.

  • Familiarity with Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) sampling plan procedures.

  • Understanding of basic quality tools and ISO Standards.

  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and equipment utilized in the process (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with various cross-functional teams, including production and engineering.

  • Strong reading comprehension for understanding standard test methods, protocols, and work-related documents.
