Salary: $19-22/Hour

As a Lawn Care Technician,you will provide a variety of services like fertilization, weed spray, and aeration. You will have many interactions with customers and interested homeowners. You will learn how to Read the lawn to determine which services are required to improve the grass health. You will recommend additional services to our customers to meet their lawn care goals. You will be expected to complete the route in a timely fashion and with customer service, quality, and efficiency.Training is provided.

Seasonal contract from April October.

Typical advancement with experience: Senior Lawn Care Technician or Technician Specialist; followed by Production Supervisor Trainee for the right candidate.

Compensation: $19/hr guaranteed base with the potential to reach up to $23+/hr with commission and bonuses.We have an excellent compensation structure that rewards reliability, quality, efficiency, and sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic lawn care services such as but not limited to fertilizer, weed control, aeration, seeding, etc. (We do not do landscaping or mowing/trimming)
  • Analyze and provide recommendations to improve the quality of a customers lawn
  • Complete all electronic posting properly and in a timely manner using a tablet
  • Provide exceptional customer service to existing and potential customers
  • Maintain the cleanliness and perform light repairs of the assigned truck and equipment
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance
  • Be comfortable working with lawn care products, training and licensing provided
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to meet the goals of the depot

Qualifications:

  • Lawn Care, landscape, or pest control experience is highly valued and compensated
  • A minimum of 6 months of customer service/general labour/or sales experience required
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn about grass, lawn care products and services
  • Able to lift and carry a 50-pound bag 10 meters as part of the job
  • Enjoy physical activity 20,000+ steps per day
  • Ability to work in all spring, summer, and fall weather conditions
  • Valid G class drivers licence with a clean drivers abstract and minimum 3 years driving experience
  • Driving/route-based work experience is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Self Directed and able to work under minimum supervision and follow instructions
  • Able to trouble shoot equipment issues and perform repairs with training
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Able to operate an Android/Smart device
  • Ability to work well in a team towards a shared goal
  • Leadership skills are an asset
