We are currently searching for a Quality Control Tech to join our quality control department at High Concrete in Denver, PA
The Quality Control Tech at High Concrete in Denver, PA is responsible for performing visual inspections and piece checks as well as verifying product is within specification during the day-to-day operations in both the structural and architectural products. Complete concrete testing in the lab to verify the quality of the product meets or exceeds customer requirements and job specifications.
This is a 3rd shift position with the ability to work some overtime. Working Sunday-Thursday with start time of 10:00PM (working 8-10 hour work days)
Starting at $22.00/hr. and can increase based on previous work experience.
We also offer a shift differential of $3.00 per hour for any hours worked between 5:00PM and 5:00AM.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the following technical areas:

    • Pre-Pour Inspection of Structural pieces and Architectural pieces.
    • Post-Pour Inspection of Structural pieces and Architectural pieces.
    • Lab Technician.
    • Outbound Load Inspection.

  • Assist other members of the QC Team as needed.
  • Able to communicate effectively with others (verbally and written).
  • Accomplishes results with initiative and without formal authority.
  • Works well with others to accomplish required tasks and can effectively participate and/or lead in a team environment.
  • Able and comfortable with communicating openly and directly. Demonstrates self-confidence and awareness of others' perceptions. Manages conflicts effectively.
  • Able to adapt to organizational changes and changing market and technical needs. Willingly considers new ideas and implements new ways of doing things.
  • Able to manage and complete tasks on time. Sets and achieves goals.
  • Accepts accountability for own work and additional task for the benefit of the group.
  • Practices safe work habits continuously. Participates in monthly safety programs willingly.
  • Attends work as scheduled and on time. Willing to cover other shifts a necessary.
  • Can analyze and use process-based approaches to solving routine and complex problems.
  • Basic knowledge of concrete product.
  • Will work in Excel, SharePoint and SAP.
  • Participate on various task teams or projects as assigned.

Experience, Training and/or education required:
  • 1 - 2 years precast experience preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding role.
  • Excel experience.
  • SAP & Sharepoint experience a plus.
  • Qualified individuals are advised to pursue PCI Level I & Level II certifications as well as ACI Field Testing Technician Level I certification within 12 months of entering the position.
