Description:

I. Position Overview:

    The Britt Aero Quality Manager is ultimately responsible to ensure that product conforms to customer and regulatory   requirements. A Quality Manager ensures all external and internal requirements are met, prior to product release.


II. Responsibilities:

    A. Responsible for the conformity of product requirements across all Britt Aero shifts.

    B. Responsible to stop and correct quality problems, should they arise, including but not limited to, halting production activities as necessary.

    C. Supervise Quality Inspectors and manage lab priorities.

    D. Perform inspections (In-Process, Visual, Final, FAI, Etc.), as necessary.

    E. Decipher and report quality abnormalities and ensure resolution.

    F. Decipher pertinent details from customer prints and specifications to maintain inspection reports and other quality documents as required.

    G. Monitor additional operations and departments that can affect quality and customer satisfaction, such as but not always limited to, Calibration, Shipping and Receiving, and Delegated Product Release.

    H. Contain suspect product according to Britt Aero internal procedures, escalating as applicable, to the customer by reporting any possible escapes.

    I. Identification of Root Cause and Corrective Actions, during non-conforming product investigation, including but not limited to, customer-initiated investigations.

    J. Collect and analyze quality data for performance reporting.

    K. Recommend and support process improvement, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.

    L. Complete as required, any industry standard or customer required trainings.

    A. Experience in the Aerospace Manufacturing Industry is required. Experience as a Quality Manager or relevant role is preferred.

    B. Must possess thorough knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and industry best practices.

    C. Must demonstrate robust planning, organizational skills, and leadership abilities.

    D. Must possess excellent mechanical, and mathematical knowledge, with an understanding of data analysis and statistical methodology.

    E. Must be result driven with a great attention to detail and demonstrate excellent communication.
