Elmira Stamping & Manufacturing is currently seeking a skilled Quality Manager to join our team in Rochester, NY! As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes within our organization. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in quality processes, systems and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Elmira Stamping & Manufacturing delivers end-to-end sheet metal manufacturing solutions-from initial concept and design to final production and assembly including laser, press brake, CNC machining, welding and assembly.

We have multiple 5-axis Emmegi XT extrusion milling centers with a bed capacity of 30 feet, plus turrets, lasers, and more. The foundation for everything we do and make at Elmira Stamping is an unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Position Overview Responsibilities May Include
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead and manage the quality assurance team, providing guidance and support.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for non‑conformances and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Analyze quality data and implement corrective actions to address any issues.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive quality improvements and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
  • Develop and implement quality control tests to ensure products meet consistent standards.
  • Inspect products at various stages of the production process to identify and address quality issues.
  • Write detailed reports documenting production issues and quality control activities.
  • Train and manage production line staff in quality assessment and production practices.
  • Track products through the manufacturing process to ensure each part meets quality standards.
  • Eliminate products that do not meet standards and investigate the reasons for quality issues.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
  • Supervise inspectors, technicians, and other staff, providing guidance and feedback.
  • Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
  • Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met.
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Total Compensation Package
  • Wage
