We are looking for a QC Inspector to support our production goals through consistent quality work!
The QC Inspector will evaluate assemblies and finished products to ensure conformance to drawing requirements, specifications and approved procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring that good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices are maintained in manufacturing and the coordination of the non-conforming process. The QC Inspector shall provide direction and leadership to one or more inspectors in daily scheduling and performance of work. Maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced and demanding manufacturing environment and dealing with shifting priorities.
Other Duties / Expectations:
Skills:
  • Must have strong organization skills and attention to detail

  • Demonstrate basic computer skills and perform basic computer operations

Scheduling:
  • Provide direction and scheduling of department workloads
  • Provide Quality related training activities for both Quality and Manufacturing Department

Inspections:
  • Perform in-process, receiving and final quality inspections to assure compliance to specifications and engineered drawings.
  • Travel to local suppliers to perform in process and/or final inspection audits when needed.
  • Support QC Manager facilitate Third Party Inspector visits.

Improving the Quality Department:
  • Identifies problems, and proposes resolutions that are timely, cost-effective, and meet quality requirements
  • Takes on new challenges and expanding roles to assist with growing demands within different areas of the Quality Department
  • Works closely with Management to provide and implement new ways for improvement

Reports:
  • Issue and complete Non-Conformance Reports.

Physical Requirements:
  • Mobility in plant
  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds
  • Visual hearing abilities with or without correction
  • Communication Skills

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a quality assurance/ quality control environment

Required Skills:
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Fabrication Skills
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Basic Math Skills, Shop Math Trigonometry
  • Ability to read and work form blueprints and operator instructions
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments, height gauges, calibration of hand tools
  • Knowledge on Non-Destructive Examination MT and PT (with minimum Certificate of attendance to formal training for 40 hours of classroom/online training)
  • Welding and Piping fabrication experience
