The Korte Company is seeking an experienced construction Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality of commercial and DOD/USACE/NAVFAC construction projects. This position offersa great opportunityto join a strong, successful, andhighly-respectedteam.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Read and interpret contract plans and specifications todetermineconstruction requirements.
  • Document and update field testing logs
  • Conduct,attendand document preparatory meetings
  • Coordinate Three Phase of Control plan - Preparatory, Initial and Final Phases
  • Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in-progress
  • Complete all reports and records inan accurateandtimelymanner
  • Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the jobsite
  • Leadpunchlistinspection, documentation, and trade follow-up
  • Enter critical info into USACE RMS/ NAVFAC E-CMS system
  • National travel and potential relocation with short-term notice will berequired.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The characteristics listed below are representative ofthosesoughtto perform this job successfully.

  • Working knowledge of field construction including mass grading, structural concrete, underground utilities, buildingenvelope, and MEPinstall. Familiarity with SCIF facilities is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1
  • Extensive experience in quality control for the overall construction of commercial projects
  • Experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
  • Strong work ethic with a passion to fulfill commitments
  • Remarkable enthusiasm
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple owner and building user clients
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, multi-tasking,communicationand conflict management skills
  • Computer knowledge in sending emails, daily reports, construction look-ahead schedules, and iPad use

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager or Project Engineer ona similar sizeand type of construction contract
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a QC Manager
  • Current certificate of completion of Construction Quality Managers for Contractors
  • Design/Build experience is a plus
  • Procore experience is a plus
