Job description

Job Focus: Ensure that all GMPs and HACCP policies are being completed and documented on a daily basis and that all products being produced meet our company quality standards.

Shifts: Variable, depending on production and company needs.

Overtime:  As necessary.

Description of Work Place:

The work for this position takes place in production facilities. The production rooms are equipped with a refrigeration system that sustains the temperature at 35°-45° F.  The room is also equipped with long tables used for processing meat products; machinery used to grind meat; warehouse machinery and conveyor belts to transport boxes. The room is well-lit and has a level concrete floor that at times can be wet. The production room is also equipped with a loading dock and heavy-duty rack shelving to house product.

Description of Job tasks:

  • Completion of Q.C. sheets for each product produced
  • Line set up: (film, forming and sealing dimension, date stamps, product labels, case end labels, label machine, and box machine)
  • Assist with changing forming/lidding film, top/bottom labels as needed.
  • Identify and isolate product with possible contamination of foreign material/objects and informing management      
  • Performance and documentation of regular test/checks per company GMP monitoring, SSOP-Operational Sanitation Report, cooler storage product temperature verification, and weekly GMP production room and cooler temps
  • Inform maintenance staff to correct issues as needed
  • Assist with all duties pertaining to production line duties and responsibilities

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  • Requires prolonged standing during work hours.
  • Requires stooping, kneeling, bending and reaching.
  • Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
  • Must work in and around fumes and odors.
  • Must be able to stand for long durations per shift
  • Must work in lower temperature environment (35°-45° F)

Safety Clothing/Equipment:      

  • Must comply with company dress code
  • Layered clothing is advised
  • Company Provided: helmet, smock, gloves, hair and beard net
  • Non-slip shoes or boots

Tools Used: Tape Gun, Scissors
