Job description

NOVA Engineering is currently seeking a highly skilled CMT Laboratory Manager to join our team in Greenville, SC. The Lab Manager will manage the lab's production and personnel and provide quality assurance/quality control lab testing duties for commercial, retail, educational, low—to high-rise, manufacturing, and government construction projects.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Performing specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and building components such as soil, concrete, and asphalt, per ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, etc. standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of observations, inspections, and test results.
  • Organizing lab data, processing, and report preparation.
  • Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and workspaces.
  • Manage lab personnel and maintain required certifications among the laboratory team.
  • Maintaining lab accreditation.
Qualifications:
  • ACI Concrete Strength, Aggregate Base and ACI Aggregate Testing Certifications are Required
  • 5+ Experience in a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory testing and sampling
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong project management abilities, including managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
