Job description

As a Quality Control Lab Technician, you will perform physical and analytical tests on in process samples, intermediates, and finished goods! You will have responsibility to produce quality work with speed and accuracy.

You will directly report to the Quality Manager and will be located in the Ennis, TX Plant. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay

Key Responsibilities

  • Work together with production, supply chain, and management to certify processing formulas are meeting requirements
  • Analyze in process and finished good samples
  • Prepare DOT samples to be shipped out
  • Approve batch tickets making sure raw materials are accurate and making any corrections
  • Conduct training for new lab techs
  • Keep equipment up to date on calibration or maintenance
  • Check in coming raw materials
  • Follow safety policies and regulation
  • Craft COAs for finished goods

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required; College degree in any field.
  • 1+ years of experience with quality control in lab or industrial environment.
