This position serves as the Quality Control Engineer for the business unit in which they are based. Responsibilities range from pre-construction project review, technical assistance with regards to quality issues involving submittals and RFI's, quality control management and compliance in the region, technical assistance with regards to project quality issues, and coordination and communication with project teams and GC's.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $60,000/yr - $85,000/yr (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location)
Competitive Annual Salary based on qualifications, skills, training, experience, and location.
Discretionary Annual Bonus: Subject to company performance and individual contribution.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Contract/Scope/Specification review and interpretation
  • Pre-construction specification review
  • Pre-construction mix design review in conjunction with Corporate Quality Director, Materials specialists and suppliers
  • Project safety compliance
  • Regional project quality compliance
  • Periodic project visits and quality compliance reviews
  • Work with project teams to develop solutions to quality issues
  • Coordination with GC/Owner when necessary
  • Coordination with CSI Operations manager regarding manpower/resources
  • Support and manage project quality staff within assigned region

Education/Experience/Attributes/Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience with concrete construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction management, Engineering or other construction related field recommended.
  • Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices required
  • Strong technical knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement practices.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
  • Experience leading successful project teams, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities
  • Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
  • Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.
