Job description

Quality Control Laboratory Technician AssistantAbout the Role

This entry-level role supports a quality control lab by helping prepare materials, process samples, and assist lab staff with testing. You’ll play an important part in keeping samples organized, accurate, and ready for testing.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a medical and manufacturing environment with training and room to grow.


Schedule
  • Overnight shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
What You’ll Do
  • Help prepare materials and solutions used in lab testing
  • Assist lab technicians with tests and daily lab tasks
  • Receive and log samples, making sure all information is accurate
  • Track and handle samples from arrival through testing
  • Prepare samples for testing using lab equipment and systems
  • Store samples properly (refrigerated or frozen) and keep records organized
  • Retrieve samples for additional or repeat testing when needed
  • Safely dispose of samples following biohazard guidelines
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment with basic troubleshooting
  • Use lab systems to track samples and check testing status
  • Help monitor lab supply inventory and notify supervisors when low
  • Follow all safety procedures and standard operating guidelines

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.80 - $18.80/hr.
