Title: Quality Control Inspector

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL - 100% Onsite

Duration and Hire Type: Contract to Hire

Pay: $20.50/hr

Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (2/2/3 rotating schedule)

Job Description:

We are seeking detail-oriented Quality Control Inspectors to support laboratory operations within a growing medical device manufacturing environment. This role will focus on inspection and sampling activities for BLE and glucose-related kit products within the KitPack area.

This is a hands-on position in a regulated, fast-paced setting, playing a key role in supporting a significant production ramp beginning in late June. Candidates should be comfortable following structured procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and working both independently and as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and kit components
  • Execute sampling activities for BLE and glucose-related products
  • Follow established procedures for inspection, testing, and documentation
  • Accurately record inspection results and ensure full traceability of materials
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials; escalate issues to Quality Engineering as needed
  • Support material control activities, including product holds and segregation
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory environment
  • Support increased workload tied to upcoming production ramp

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree or technical training preferred)
  • 1+ year of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or laboratory environment
  • Experience following work instructions and documenting results accurately
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
