As a Safety & QC Tech, you will be responsible for compliance, inspections, monitoring and the overall safety of the company and its employees in the field. This position acts in an advisory capacity to administration and management and may serve as a liaison with governmental agencies as necessary.

What you'll do: Safety Professional when on location Assist, develop and maintain safety and health policies, procedures and manuals Assist with Safety meetings and tool box talks Apply relevant OSHA and DOT regulations under guidance Implement and integrate risk mitigation into programs, processes, and operations Prepares and rolls out safety initiatives, educational and training programs, materials, and information under the direction of safety department leadership Educate and train employees on the skills and important knowledge related to health and occupational safety Work together with the Yard Manager to ensure the on-site health and safety of all employees Oversee daily monitoring of operations and equipment testing to reduce occupational risks Assist in accident reporting and continuous safety procedure improvements Ensure ALL licensing and requirements are current and completed Safety equipment inspections and maintenance including Fire Extinguishers, 1st Aid Kits, SDS, SCBA's, Fixed & Personal Gas Detection Systems, Rental Equipment, Rescue Equipment, etc. Fire Extinguisher maintenance including monthly inspections, annual inspections, recharging, 6-year maintenance, and condemning equipment Promote available company services and products Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Associate Degree preferred Two years' experience in Safety of Related field Knowledge of DOT regulations Must have mechanical aptitude Effective communication skills, organization, and planning skills Able to communicate and work well with team members Work independently and proactively with minimal supervision or instruction Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and able to multi-task Able to follow verbal and written instructions, use proper judgment Establish rapport, present information, and respond to questions Deep understanding of OHSA guidelines and practical application Lift up to 25 pounds Why join us.
