Position – QC Chief Inspector

Location: Macon

We are currently seeking an experienced QC Chief Inspector to lead Inspection and Quality Control activities supporting aircraft maintenance, alterations, and interior completion projects.

The QC Chief Inspector is responsible for ensuring all inspection activities comply with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and Repair Station procedures. This position will supervise QC Inspectors and support airworthiness determinations, Return to Service approvals, regulatory coordination, and AS9100-aligned quality practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise QC Inspectors and inspection activities
  • Ensure inspections are properly performed, documented, and completed prior to Return to Service
  • Ensure compliance with approved inspection methods, techniques, tools, and equipment
  • Verify compliance with applicable inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures
  • Verify conformity and traceability of parts, materials, and installations
  • Support airworthiness determinations and authorize Return to Service approvals
  • Ensure maintenance, alterations, and aircraft interior completion activities comply with applicable FAA requirements and approved technical data
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for FAA audits and inspections
  • Support AS9100 Quality Management System implementation and audits
  • Work with maintenance and quality personnel to address inspection and compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate and complete inspection documentation
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and regulatory procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Summary of Education, Experience and Certification

High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 6-8 years of Quality Control or Inspection experience in an FAA-regulated maintenance or repair environment required
  • Experience supporting aircraft interior completion projects preferred
  • Experience with aircraft interior refurbishment, modification, or reconfiguration preferred
  • VIP or special-mission aircraft interior experience preferred
  • Experience in a Part 145 Repair Station environment preferred
  • Experience supporting AS9100 implementation or audits preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft inspection and quality control practices
  • Knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements applicable to aircraft maintenance and alterations
  • Ability to understand and apply approved technical data, inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures
  • Experience verifying conformity and traceability of parts, materials, and installations
  • Ability to oversee inspection activities and make sound airworthiness determinations
  • Experience supporting Return to Service activities
  • Ability to lead and supervise QC Inspectors
  • Familiarity with aircraft interior completion and modification work
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The employee may work in office, hangar, aircraft, and maintenance environments.

The position may require prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
