JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Inspections Supervisor's main priority is to provide management & supervision over Inspections Team Area Leaders and Inspectors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and support quality inspection team members implementing continuous improvement activities to achieve Quality goals
  • Analyze defect data (DPU/PPM) for internal and external items
  • Responsible for FAI data collection and reporting
  • Communicate rejects to responsible departments, collaborating with and leading the team to identify Root Cause, and implement sustainable Corrective and preventive actions
  • Perform compliance and critical part inspections, including non-destructive tests where appropriate
  • Utilize appropriate measurement tools to measure components, parts, and assemblies per the applicable Engineering, quality, and manufacturing specifications
  • Responsible for overseeing quality-specific training for the Quality and Manufacturing teams
  • Supervise the LPA process within the facility
  • Review, Update, Maintain, and Create Quality Procedures as needed/annually
  • Responsible for the MRB Function and timely dispositions
  • Assure consistent quality of production by implementing and enforcing automated practice systems
  • Create daily, weekly, monthly reports, and 8D Reports
  • Support ISO 9001 QMS certification by auditing processes for compliance and best practices

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS

    BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • 5+ years of Quality and/or Manufacturing department experience
    • 1+ years of leadership/management experience

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Six Sigma knowledge, training, and/or certification preferred
